🐷 How To Tune A Civic
Fun fact, my CVT Hatch with Full bolt ons and a custom tune handled more torque without slipping for over 30k miles than my SI which has 1600 miles and is already slipping in 4th and 5th. EDIT: My Si is bone stock + FMIC and a ktuner basemap. The hatch was full bolt ons + custom tune with ktuner.

First off, if your 1.5T Civic has the 6-speed manual, the tune is adding 9PSI of boost to the mix. That is good for an extra 35WHP* on the top end, and crucially, over 60 lb-ft of torque* increase in the mid-range, from about 3,000RPM to about 5,000RPM. The CVT-equipped Civic sees a 6PSI uptick in boost, with small gains around 20 horsepower

It’s not uncommon to see north of 30+whp with just a tuner and a tune. These are easy to install and display. You can choose to run a base calibration (MAP), purchase an OTS (off-the-shelf) tune, or really dig into the benefits with a custom tune. Regardless of what you choose, a tuning solution is a must-have.
A tune totally transforms the car. But what about long term, every day reliability? After all, tuning does add some additional stress. This thread will document just that as well as owners overall tuning experiences. If you own a tuned 11th gen Civic help the CivicXI community and add your car to this thread (Si, Type R, Non-Si 1.5T, 2.0 NA).
